RankPilot AI SEO & Schema User Manual
Use this guide to run RankPilot safely inside Shopify Admin. Every workflow is review-first: RankPilot prepares evidence and candidates, and your team approves before store changes are applied.
Updated for PRD v3.2 and multilingual release on 2026-06-03.
Start in Overview
Merchant manualOverview shows open SEO work, quick fixes, storewide blockers, and connection status before you decide what to review.
How to use it
- Open the app from Shopify Admin so RankPilot can verify the active shop context.
- Review the storewide alert strip first. Critical blockers such as password protection, robots, sitemap, SSL, GSC, or Trust Center issues appear before page-level fixes.
- Use Review top fixes for the highest-value candidates, or Run new scan when you need a fresh read-only audit.
Keep in mind
- Overview does not write to Shopify.
- If GSC or GA4 is not connected, RankPilot clearly labels traffic and attribution claims as unavailable.
Audit issues
Merchant manualAudit groups SEO work by resource type and issue category, including metadata, image alt text, schema readiness, crawl, and indexability.
How to use it
- Choose a category such as Products, Collections, Pages, Blog posts, Schema readiness, Crawl & indexability, On-page metadata, or Image SEO.
- Open an issue to see source, severity, affected pages, before state, and the suggested next action.
- Use SERP snippet preview and character guidance to understand title and description quality before preparing a fix.
Keep in mind
- SERP preview is approximate and does not call Google or promise exact search rendering.
- Character guidance helps decisions, but it does not replace factual accuracy or brand rules.
Review and approve fixes
Merchant manualFixes are candidates until a merchant approval receipt exists. Apply controls stay guarded by approval, risk level, and readback checks.
How to use it
- Prepare a fix to create a before/after candidate without changing store data.
- Read the risk confirmation. Low-risk metadata, medium-risk shared media or redirect changes, and high-risk schema or theme paths are separated.
- Approve the change only after the candidate, affected resources, rollback path, and receipt details look correct.
Keep in mind
- RankPilot does not publish AI output directly.
- Rollback notes and readback status are retained so agencies and merchants can explain what changed.
Use templates, batch approval, and AltText AI
Merchant manualBulk workflows are designed for larger catalogs, but they still start with preview, sample review, and explicit approval.
How to use it
- Create metadata template previews for products and review sample title and description output.
- Use batch receipt preview before approving multiple resources.
- Generate AltText AI candidates, edit them when needed, then approve according to your plan quota and scope status.
Keep in mind
- Template rules are isolated per shop and are not shared across tenants.
- Image binary storage and compression are not part of RankPilot's current execution path.
Connect GSC and read Growth insights
Merchant manualGrowth modules show content opportunities, Core Web Vitals advisory, attribution preview, schema preview, and AutoPilot eligibility without claiming traffic impact prematurely.
How to use it
- Connect Google Search Console when you want click-based prioritization and Search Console property awareness.
- Sync GSC properties after OAuth so RankPilot can list available read-only properties.
- Choose the Search Console property that matches the Shopify store, then save the selected property.
- Run Sync GSC search data for an immediate read, or schedule the daily GSC sync so RankPilot can keep using the latest completed data.
- Read clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, URL match health, top search opportunities, and unmatched URLs in Growth before deciding what to optimize.
Keep in mind
- GSC uses customer OAuth and read-only data access.
- If URL match is low, check whether the selected Search Console property belongs to the same storefront domain and whether Shopify resources were backfilled.
- GA4 and Orders attribution remain clearly marked until those data sources are configured.
Preview reports
Merchant manualReports summarize resolved opportunities, new issues, rollback count, data-source status, and next recommended actions.
How to use it
- Open Reports to preview the weekly summary.
- Copy the summary for internal updates or export the current preview payload when production PDF rendering is not enabled.
- Enable weekly email only after billing and sender setup are ready.
Keep in mind
- Weekly emails are opt-in only.
- Reports do not claim GSC, GA4, or order attribution until those integrations are connected.
Use Trust & Settings
Merchant manualTrust Center explains Shopify installation, permissions, GSC state, store changes, privacy behavior, support information, and execution boundaries.
How to use it
- Sync Trust Center after opening the app in Shopify Admin.
- Export trust records or change history when your team needs an audit trail.
- Check permissions, AI data use, Trust Crawler behavior, and billing readiness before enabling broader workflows.
Keep in mind
- Trust Crawler is read-only, rate limited, and does not cache response bodies.
- Uninstall webhooks disable active execution controls and remove active installation state.
Language, support, and limits
Merchant manualRankPilot keeps core merchant workflows available in multiple languages while preserving technical terms, shop names, product names, SKUs, and customer-entered content.
How to use it
- Use the language menu in the app header to choose English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, French, or Spanish.
- Move between internal pages normally. RankPilot preserves app_locale so the selected app language follows you.
- Contact support from the manual or Trust Center when you need help interpreting a result or connection state.
Keep in mind
- Legal text and historical generated content are not automatically translated unless rebuilt through a locale-aware request.
- Plan names, Shopify, GSC, GA4, GraphQL, OAuth, JSON, CSV, PDF, and similar technical terms may remain in English.
